Press Release

Launch F18 is pleased to present Look For Small Recorders. The first solo exhibition by Brooklyn based artist Nathan Dilworth at the gallery. Look For Small Recorders combines the multiple elements of an aesthetic process that’s required to hit the mark of being a multi-media exhibition. These large-scale, frameless photographic structures stand tall, some rising from floor to ceiling, and project a density of color, which administers and demands a psychological response. These unique works combine Dilworth’s acute perception of photography, installation and sculpture but steer away from being too heavy in one specific media, which allows a cohesive, independent symbol of structural narration to emerge. That narration, full of evasive voids, positions the viewer simultaneously within and away from the piece. However, with this positioning (on grounds of uncertainty) we are allowed to capture its essence, regain our composure and consider where uncertainty is simply uncertain.
